Willard ""Bill"" Allen Cross' Obituary
Cross, Willard A. ""Bill"" Age 90, of Norvell Township, passed away February 16, 2013 at Allegiance Health. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary M. (Stoner, Hanes) Cross; daughter, Jennifer Davidson; granddaughters, Lindsey and Lisa Davidson; five step-children, Charlene (Chuck) Metro, William (Bonnie) Stoner, Millie (Walt) Bartlett, David (Debbie) Stoner and Bonnie Stoner; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Kathy Johnson; brother, Milton D. Cross; and two sisters, Winifred Lemmon-Miller and Shirley Stanfield. Bill was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corp where he served his nation in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He had worked as a supervisor at Aeroquip and enjoyed flying as a private pilot. He also pursued hunting and fishing in his leisure. He was a member of the American Legion Wilber-Bartlett Post #315 Brooklyn. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment Napoleon Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4 pm - 8 pm. Graveside Military Honors will be given by his brothers from Post #315. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
