William A. "Bill" Neu's Obituary
Age 64, of Parma, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021. He was born in Jackson in 1957, the son of Wayne and Rita (Mellinger) Neu and they preceded him in death. Bill is survived by three sons, Joe (Sarah) Neu of Portage, MI, Devin (Tiffany) Neu of Walled Lake, MI and William Kyle Neu of Portage, MI; two granddaughters, Charlotte and Oaklee Neu; the mother of his children, Lori Neu of Parma; three sisters, Carol (Robert) Hite, Patty Snook and Linda Chapman; one brother, Walter Neu (Paulette); nieces and nephews.
For over 30 years, Bill was a blue collar worker who drove professionally working for BFI services, Western schools, City of Battle Creek, and the City of Jackson. He could drive anything with wheels. Bill prided himself on work ethic and being reliable and safe on the job.
He was a gifted mechanic who enjoyed fixing cars. He also was into anything about space and science. Bill was a sports fanatic; he supported all of the Detroit pro sports teams and University of Michigan football and basketball, a passion which was shared down to his 3 sons whom he loved dearly.
Everyone who met Bill is quick to share what a nice man he was. He was interesting and enjoyed conversation with everyone around him.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering to honor Bill's life will be held at the Roseland Memorial Gardens Chapel (3744 Brooklyn Road, Jackson) on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 10:30am. For those who wish, contributions in Bill's memory may be given to the Jackson Interfaith Shelter.
