William "Bill" Blair Dixon's Obituary
Age 78, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday March 7, 2018 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He was born March 16, 1939 in Jackson, Michigan to parents Lacerne B. and Eva M. (Collier) Dixon. He is survived by three children, Todd (Beth) Dixon of Jackson, Kimberly (Adrian Micu) Dixon of Osprey, Florida and Jeff Dixon of Saugatuck and grandson Kyle Yeiter-Dixon of Springfield, Ohio, siblings, Joanne Skilling of Arizona, Peg Glenn of Stockbridge, Syreta Earl of Chelsea, Virginia Allen of Jackson, Lacerne Dixon Jr. of Thailand and Greg Dixon of California. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald L. Dixon, brothers-in-law, Dave Glenn, Dave Skilling, Jerry Earl and Vern Allen. He was married to Katy Dixon, the mother of their three children. He will be missed by dearest friends, Bill Hobbs, Jim (Cindy) Spencer, Davey Messner, MaryAnn Falaska, Mary Miller, Chris Sauber and Charles Sharrer. Bill was a local entrepreneur who owned Dixon Farm Market. He loved living in Michigan and was a true blue U of M fan. He served in the US Army Reserve. A Memorial Service in celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the St. Aidan's Church, (361 E. Grove, Michigan Center) at 2 pm with Rev. Larry Rubingh officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Cascades Humane Society.
