I have had the pleasure of knowing Dave for 20 or more years. I am grateful that my daughter got to meet and spend time with him as well. She told me that one of her fondest memories is going on the boat with him and jumping in the middle of the lake for a swim. He was a selfless human being. Growing up with him, I always felt acceptance even during my horrible teenage years. I always knew that he loved me and my family. He had the best way of showing it. I wish we had more time together. He will truly be missed. I am grateful that my aunt got to feel his love for so many years. Through the good times and the bad I believe that they were soulmates. There is no doubt in my mind that he is in a better, peaceful place, and his wife and family will see him again.
