William Edward Furman's Obituary
Age 76, of Michigan Center, passed away May 19, 2016 at his home under the loving care of his family and Great Lakes Caring Hospice. He is survived by six children, Richard Furman, Victoria Furman, Michael (Karen) Furman, Cheryl (Bill) Powell, Tammy (Jack) Wyatt and Billy Furman, grandchildren, Kristine, Nick, Andrew, Brent and Logan Furman, Garret Signor and Austen Powell, great-grandchildren, Taylor, Connor, Mason and Elizabeth Furman and Genevieve Signor, sister, Mary Hinton, brother Donald Furman, special brother in laws, Lawrence (Joyce) Hubbard and Gregory (Kristy) Burch, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy (maiden-Burch), brothers Jim and Charles Furman , sister Janet Ash and his parents, Fred and Lottie (maiden-Browder) Furman. William served the nation in the US Army Reserve, retired from Clark Equipment Company after many years as a machinist, loved family get-togethers and camping, gardening, hunting and fishing. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 1 pm with Pastor Rod Walker, Harmony Baptist Church officiating. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Monday evening 4-8 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Jackson Area Special Olympics. After the interment service, a continuation of the Remembrance of Mr. Furman will be held at the Harmony Baptist Church (6475 Ann Arbor Road).
