William A. Johnson's Obituary
Age 70, of Michigan Center, passed away at his home under the loving care of his wife and Great Lakes Caring Hospice on June 11, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jean; sister, Jacquelyn Klump; step-sons, Aaron (Karen Sifers) Okley and Nathan Atherton; grandchildren, Ayla and Nolan Okley and his aunt and uncle, David and Jacqueline Marsh. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Gill Johnson and his parents, Elmer and Ann Thompson Johnson. He graduated from Parkside High School in 1965 after which he attended Michigan State University for several years before relocating to Phoenix, Arizona. After several years, he relocated again to San Jose, California and worked in the tech industry. He returned to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and then completed his education and earned his Bachelor's Degree. He then owned and operated the A-1 Exterminating Service for the remainder of his working career. He retired in 2015 and moved back to his roots in Jackson where he enjoyed lake living and traveling with Linda. Mr. Johnson has been cremated. A Memorial Service Celebrating his life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 2 pm with Reverend Larry Rubingh officiating. Private interment of cremated remains will be held at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery, Jackson, MI at a later date. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Cascades Humane Society.
