Bill will be greatly missed. I knew Bill through collecting license plates. He would come to our meets in Joliet, Illinois. I would often talk to him at those meets and for some reason he had a sense of calmness about him. I’m glad he always came. I was a longtime Detroit Lions even though I lived in the the Chicagoland area. I mentioned to him that I sent a check to obtain a Lions sample plate and how the state returned my check and said I had to go to a Michigan DMV facility in order to obtain one. He listened and a few months later without my knowledge he obtained one and at a meet a few months later he said he got one for me. I couldn’t believe it!! I appreciated him getting me that plate and every time I see that plate hanging on my wall it I think about Bill and his story how he got that plate at the DMV. I will miss him.
