Wilson Luther Silkworth, 92, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. A lifelong resident of Brooklyn, Michigan, he was born on May 12, 1927, to Luther and Alice (Armstrong) Silkworth. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and graduate of Tri State College (now Trine University), Angola, Indiana with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Wilson was employed at Commonwealth Associates in Jackson for many years. He was a lifetime member of Brooklyn Chapter 169 Masonic Lodge and a member of the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church. Wilson enjoyed farming and antique tractors.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 69 years Doris E. (English) Silkworth and three brothers: Chester, Robert and Marion.
Wilson is survived by daughter; Cynthia (Robert) Keyes, Reading, Michigan, grandsons; Dr. Carl Robert (Joe Sousa) Keyes, Worcester, Massachusetts and Glenn Wilson Keyes, Bow, New Hampshire.
Wilson’s public memorial service will be held at a later date. Please check back for updated service dates and times. He will be interred with his wife (Doris) at Highland Cemetery in Brooklyn.
