Yvonne Claree Arthur's Obituary
Yvonne Claree Arthur, 91, of Brooklyn, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Henry Ford Hospice Home, Jackson.
She was born on July 14, 1933, in Toledo, Ohio, to William and Marjery (Moerch) Mayer. Yvonne married the love of her life, the late Gary Arthur, on July 30, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio. They had many wonderful years together, until his passing in 2005. She will be remembered as being kind to others. Yvonne was active in Brooklyn area clubs, including the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed crafting, especially knitting and painting. In her early years, she loved hosting family gatherings and with the passing of time, she and Gary enjoyed going out to eat daily. Yvonne had a passion for animals, cats being her favorite. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Yvonne is survived by her son, Brian (Becky) Arthur; grandchildren Warren (Tori Hubbel) Arthur, Nolan (Lindsey) Arthur, Tina (Allan) Beadle, Shelly Hegel and Heather Arthur; 17 great grandchildren; and special friend and caretaker, Susan Kresmer. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary Arthur; a son, Gary Lee Arthur; daughter LaVone “Lynn” Smith; granddaughter, Tracy Snay; and brother, Bill Mayer.
