Coroden James Moore's Obituary
Coroden “CJ” James Moore, 82, from Brooklyn, MI, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Legacy Assisted Living Home. CJ’s family and friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. His funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born on June 21, 1943, in Brooklyn, MI, to Coroden and Phyllis (Johns) Moore. CJ graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1962. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. CJ spent 30 years working at the Department of Public Works, where he worked his way up the ladder, becoming the Superintendent. He loved going on road trips with the family, going on walks, doing yard work and restoring old homes and motorcycles. In his later years, CJ enjoyed participating in a coffee klatch with his friends every morning. He will be remembered as a dedicated, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, who brought laughter, fun and joy to his family and friends. CJ will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
CJ will be missed by his children, Patricia (John) Thomas, Christal (Bubba) Taylor, Travis Moore and Emily (Seth) Kleinglass; his siblings, Clifford (Pat) Moore, Yvonne Harr, Ross Moore and Marcella (John) Lucas; his grandchildren, Santha, Keeley, Thomas, Zane, Savanna, Dallas, Cody, Travis, Nicholas, Katelyn, Tristan, Kendra, Lane and Reagan; his great grandchildren, Mya, Dominic, Lincoln, Kennedy, Hazel, MacKenzie, Teagen, Tatum and Addie; his friends, Gary Kay, Paul Gormley and Tom Weaver; many nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Coroden and Phyllis; his siblings, Colleen, Owen, Gladys and Anita; his son-in-law, Bubba Taylor; his friend and past boss, Dale Cryderman; and many close friends.
