The talented and amazing man I am married to has the mechanical talents learned from his father. A mechanical mind, unrelenting, drive and a moral compass to be envied. Weekly chats with his mother and father, kept us all apprised of life in Clarklake, Michigan. Denny had the amazing gift to tinker, repair, and fix cars or anything really, that others viewed as broken. He was the guy you called to look at your car or when you needed a handyman with the right tools and the tenacity to get the job done. His grandchildren, Logan, Sydney, and Nash possess some of his best qualities and their memories of time with grandpa and grandma will be cherished always. Summers at ‘The Property’ informed their youth; riding motorcycles, ATVs, fishing, frogs from the pond (ATVs too), hunting treasure in the barn, and drinking well water from the pump with a ladle; water that didn’t quite look like city water from home…just some of the joy of lifelong memories only shared from summers spent with Grandpa and Grandma Hahnke. Denny’s Legacy will live on and he will not soon be forgotten by those who loved him and knew him. Godspeed.
