Dennis Roy Hahnke's Obituary
Dennis Roy (Denny) Hahnke, 89, passed away June 16, 2023. He was born on May 30, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Irvin and Evelyn Hahnke. Dennis and Janet (Marie Brown) were married for 64 wonderful years, a lifetime. He will be remembered as a husband, father, provider, and manager who loved to repair and restore mechanical things. Dennis was a cook in the military stationed in Texas for two years. He was called back for two more years of service during the Cuban missile crisis. He started his career as a technician at Nash Kelvinator, later known as American Motors Corporation in Detroit, Michigan. He eventually managed the AMC vehicle test facility located at Michigan International Speedway.
Dennis will be missed by his wife, Janet; his children Jeff (Jennifer) Hahnke of Fort Collins, Colorado; Doug (Marlane) Hahnke of Howell , Michigan ; Holly (Mike) Gillman of Napoleon, Michigan; Seven Grandchildren; Five Great Grandchildren.
