Gary Guy Baldwin's Obituary
Baldwin, Gary
Napoleon Township, Michigan
Gary Guy Baldwin, 80, of Napoleon Township, Michigan, passed away at home on June 25, 2026. Gary’s family and friends will hold a gathering at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
He was born on April 9, 1946, in Stockbridge, Michigan, to Robert Guy and Evelyn Marie (Frinkle) Baldwin. Gary married Cheryl Ann Choinski, on August 4, 1984, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Gary attended Grass Lake school district and after graduation, he went on to earn his Master’s from Eastern Michigan University. He spent most of his career teaching students at Michigan Center High School in subjects such as Math, Science, Chemistry, Physics and Driver’s Training. He will be remembered as a family man with a kind heart, a happy spirit and his desire to make sure everyone had fun. Some would say he was a connoisseur of fine wines, liquors and craft beers. He loved his dog Pebbles and his cat Zeppelin. He was a bowler, a bicyclist, a scuba diver and fully enjoyed spending time on the lake. Gary was always the entertainer, having people over, hosting year end parties for his colleagues from school, cooking wings, served with volcanic hot sauce, and the hotter the better he would say. But Gary’s greatest joy in life, was his time spent with family and especially watching his grandkids in all their sports and concerts.
Gary will be missed by his wife Cheryl; his children, Justin (Shannon) Baldwin, Noel (Jessie) Baldwin, Heather (Brad Lansdale) Baldwin; his sister, Arlene Ferris; grandchildren, Katelynn, Collin, Maggie, Sydney, Alyssa (Austin) Dylan, Izzy; and was expecting his first great grandchild, Beckham; his nephews and niece, Blair, Kirk and Lara; and many other beloved family and dear friends. He is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Evelyn Baldwin.
