Glenn “Ed” Hoffman, 90 , of Jackson, Michigan, passed away at Henry Ford-Jackson hospital, November 18, 2025.
Ed was born on August 7, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan to Alexander and Rose (Etlinger) Hoffman. Glenn married, Kathleen Margaret Dailey, February 2, 1957 and they over 50 wonderful years together until her passing in 2007. He will be remembered as a man of great integrity, passing on his valued ideals of how to live life. He was kind and gentle and loved by all. He was a huge influence on his family, leaving a legacy of love.
Ed was a career automotive painter, for over 40 years. His hobbies included coin and stamp collecting, woodworking, photography, camping and traveling. He had a goal to travel to all 50 states and only fell short of two. He was an active member for many years with the Lion’s Club and rode in the motorcycle club for charity for the Penrickton Center for Blind Children. Ed was a “Jack of all trades” and could make, fix or rebuild anything. But most of all, Ed loved his family and was an amazing man, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Ed will be missed by his children, David (Kay) Cindy (Vince) Ed (Debbie) Elizabeth, Lorri (Jim) and Jodie; Siblings, Barbara, AJ and Rosie (Joe); grandchildren, Meghan (Ke`nan) Ryan (Dannie) Chris (Erica) Patrick (Marie) James (Samantha) Sara (Alex) Tyler (Kayla) Codi (Ben) and Lauren (Alex); great grandchildren, Owen, Harper, Lily, Abigal, Willow and Scarlet; and his significant other of 15 plus years, Joyce Del Guidice. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen, his parents, Alexander and Rose, his grandson, Alan, brother- in-law, Mario and sister-in-law Joann.
