Gregory George Sweatland's Obituary
Gregory George Sweatland, 65, passed away at home on March 11, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Greg was born on April 5, 1958, in Chesaning, Michigan to Kenneth and Eunice (Wright) Sweatland. Greg married Barbara Hunt in 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He will be remembered as a devoted family man who loved being “Papa”. He was a union carpenter for many years with TR Hines. In his spare time, he loved the out-of-doors, whether it be boating, hunting, fishing, or riding motorcycles. He was a loyal NASCAR and Wolverines fan.
Greg will be missed by his wife, Barbara; his children, Ashley (Eric) Rowlson, Christopher (Megan) Hunt, Mason Hunt, Heather (Jim) Hicks, Danny (Jessica) Patterson; a sister, Kim Caldwell; grandchildren Bree Rowlson, Brody Rowlson, Deegan Rowlson, Salvador Hunt, Eathan Hicks, Wyatt Hicks, Kylie Hicks, Hayden Patterson; and a nephew, Kyle Caldwell. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Bill Caldwell and his Aunt Flo and Uncle Chet Hamann.
