Helen Dusse peacefully passed away January 25, 2025, at the age of 106. Helen was under the loving care of her family and Laury Radala at Garden Estates. Helen was born in Cement City, Michigan, a descendant of a pioneer family. Read Obituary
I was named after her husband William. My best childhood memories of Christmas Eve are with Uncle Bill and aunt Helen.
Helen was the sweetest person ever to walk on this planet. She was my mother's best friend. Together they would go to Hudson's at Eastland and have lunch at least once a week. Her giggle was legendary. My mother would always comment on how amazing it was to watch Helen pollinate her gladiolas with a q-tip in her backyard. We wound up being lucky enough to dig some up and move them to Gaylord, where my parents lived. The bulbs have advanced to fill a whole field so we call it the Helen Dusse field. Helen and Bill were with my parents constantly on the boats, taking vacations together and having a wonderful time. We were so lucky to have known her.
