There’s a Navy aviation term, CAVU which is Ceiling and Visibility Unlimited. What it is, is ideal flying conditions.
In life, we don’t always have CAVU. The sky gets dark and things can get cloudy. One time, Hugh and I were talking about flying planes and how important the instrument panel is. When you don’t have visibility, you have to trust in your instruments. Hugh reminded me that the word of God is our everyday instrument panel and how we need to trust Him and his word. Sometimes it feels like we’re flying blind but if we trust God, He’ll always see us through. Hugh used this analogy with me many years ago. I’ve always kept little pieces of wisdom like this locked away and strived to always trust in “the instrument panel”. I’m so blessed that God had put this wonderful man in my life. Hugh had faith like Daniel, hope like Moses, a heart like David and wisdom like Solomon. He will always be one of my heroes. My heart goes out to Mama Donna and the rest of Hugh’s family and friends. We lost an amazing man but we’re all blessed to have known him.
I love you, Papa
