Jimmy Carl Godfrey's Obituary
Jimmy Carl Godfrey, 72, of Clark Lake, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, June 12, 2025.
He was born on March 10, 1953, in Adrian, Michigan to William and Louise (Hart) Godfrey. Jimmy married the love of his life, Cheryl Hightower, on June 1, 1998 in Toledo, Ohio. They just celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary. He will be remembered as a very intelligent, creative, kind man that could fix anything. Jimmy was a graduate of Blissfield High School. He was affectionately called “Tank” by his many friends and co-workers. Jimmy was employed for several years at Capones Pizza and retired from Steaks Eatery. He was a people person that enjoyed selling his creations from wood at local fairs. Jimmy was very artistic, a very vibrant, energetic man that loved working with his hands, whether it be with motors, wood or anything. He and Cheryl had planned another fishing trip in the Upper Peninsula for later this summer. Above all, Jimmy cherished his family and his faith. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jimmy leaves behind his loving wife, Cheryl; his daughters, Danette (Troy) Pastora and Audra Ruth; two sisters, Carol (Tom) Rowett, Kathy Godfrey and a brother, John Godfrey; grandchildren, T.J.
