Dear Grandma and Family,
I'm thinking of you all during this difficult time. I wanted to honor Grandma's memory and share that I've made the difficult decision not to attend the funeral. As an adult, I've realized I need to prioritize my own well-being and set boundaries to protect myself from toxic behaviors and relationships. Unfortunately, this family dynamic has been hurtful and traumatic for me, and I can't continue to put myself in harm's way.
I want Grandma to know she's loved and remembered fondly. I hope in the coming days, everyone can find a path towards healing and peace.
