Louise Mary Howes' Obituary
Louise Mary Howes, 87, of Brooklyn, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at home with her family by her side. Louise’s family and friends will gather Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel, her funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm. Fr. Basco Padamattummal will serve as celebrant.
She was born on January 5, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to Frank and Helen (Nawrot) Howes. She will be remembered for her immense talent for crafting, embroidery, crocheting, quilting, knitting, cross stitching and cooking. Louise was totally devoted to her family, especially the grandchildren. She was one of seven children that remained very close throughout their lives. Louise loved to travel with her sister, Bonnie to Shipshewana to visit the flea market and many thrift stores. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, and took several cruises. Louise will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Louise is survived by her children, Mark (Kim) Howes, Todd Howes, and Sally Howes; siblings, Bonnie Michalik, Alberta Granda and Lawrence Klemczak; grandchildren, Sarah Copeland, Jessica Thompson, John Landstrom, Joseph Jr., Jacob,Payton Kovalchik and Luke Howes; six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen; a son, Harold Howes III; and siblings, Frank and James Klemczak and Barbara Oliverio.
