Mark Avis, 69, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his loving family on April 14, 2023. Mark’s family and friends will gather on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel, 137 Read Obituary
I worked with Mark the moment I walked through the doors at Chainworks, Inc. He showed me around and gave me some safety pointers. From his "C'mon Man!" and constant sports analysis, he was fun to be around and talk with. He was a GREAT man. He always talked about his wife and his grandkids, as well as "Boy 1", "Boy 2", and "Boy 3." Oh! and his dog's many antics. Please accept my deepest condolences as I pray for his family's peace while dealing with this sudden loss.

Mark and I went to school at Napoleon, played in a band together with Terry Scott and Kevin Baker around 1967-68 won the Raft a Rama by having our band play as Big Daddy drove the raft around Clark Lake, we had a generator to power our amps. We would have band practice in the orchards barn with the wonderful smell of apples, little basketball as well always happened. First time I heard Sgt. Peppers (The Beatles) was at the Avis home. Always enjoyed staying and hanging with Mark, he was such a great friend to have with the best attitude for life and adventures and we had them too. Helen, Vic and I are so sorry to hear of Mark's passing. We were friends with Bev and John through the Fleet 58 Sailing Club and had many a good summer with the Avises. Our sympathy to you, your boys and the whole family.

I played basketball in the barn (and went snowmobiling through the orchard) with Mark, Dave and Clarence White around 1970.
I remember the cold apples in the cooler were delicious after playing ball.
And then in 2013 my daughter's wedding was at the old Avis barn which brought back great memories.
I'm glad to have known Mark.

I always enjoyed working with Mark at camshaft. He was always very passionate about everything.
I remember Mark. As a young teen, I would babysit Mark and his siblings periodically. My sympathies go out to the entire family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mark when he came to the Brite n Clean laundromat ..He always kept me updated on his son Dan who I also knew from the laundromat. I will miss Mark's chats about his grandchildren that he truly adored. RIP MARK

Fond memories of playing basketball upstairs with Mark and Dave in the barn, working in the orchard, and spending time with the entire Avis Clan. Wonderful family and always very welcoming.
