Peggy Vivien Townsend, 87, of Manchester, Michigan passed away on March 14, 2025 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Chelsea, Michigan. Peggy’s family and friends will gather on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Read Obituary
Peg had always been such a sweetheart to me. She always had a beautiful smile when she saw me and treated me as part of her family. As the years went on we saw less and less of her but we exchanged Christmas card and we heard all about her life from Carl and Phyllis. I loved seeing her beautiful items she made and she was so talented. Peg you are so loved and will be missed. See you on the other side our heavenly home.

When I first saw Peggy at Zion I asked why she looked familiar. She said when her and Ed were first married they lived on farm land. My family was
working the land and I use to sneak into her kitchen when she was baking
to get some cookies. lol She was right. We both had a good laugh over
that memory.

So sorry to hear about her passing she was my bus driver and my son's bus driver as well she was such a a sweet lady always cared about her kids on the bus even brought snacks once in awhile. She will be terrible missed.
Great memories going back to the 60's and 70's traveling from Florida to Michigan to visit Aunt Peg and Uncle Ed with family. She always had fresh baked bread and cookies for us when we got there. Her and Ed were always very gracious and loving over the years and we always kept in touch even though so many miles apart. We will miss her greatly. God bless Ed, Carl, and Fred. Words can’t express how much we are going to miss you! My one splice is knowing that you truly are going to be in a better place. My heart hurts. I’m grateful each of us has a quilt from you to cuddle with and always remember you. Thank you for leaving me with the recipes for the best peanut butter cookies and apple pie ever! I love you!
My deepest sympathy to Ed and his family in the loss of Peggy. She was a very nice, kind, hard working person with so many talents. Peggy will be missed by many., especially at the craft shows she and Ed serviced. From Ruth Burch, a cousin of Ed.
Aunt Peg wasn't really Aunt Peg, but that's all I ever knew her as. She was the sweetest lady I knew with a heart of gold. Rough around the edges, hard working, kind, and a wonderful Aunt. I love you Aunt Peg!
