Peggy Vivien Townsend's Obituary
Peggy Vivien Townsend, 87, of Manchester, Michigan passed away on March 14, 2025 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Chelsea, Michigan. Peggy’s family and friends will gather on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel and on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Chelsea, Michigan followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Chelsea, Michigan directly following the funeral. Pastor Kurt Hutchins will serve as celebrant.
Peggy was born on April 9, 1937, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Carl Frederick and Honor Vivien (Keene-Kennedy) Nabeack. She graduated from Saline High School and worked as a bus driver for many years. Peggy married the love of her life, Edward Lee Townsend, on September 19, 1959, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Peggy loved to be outside and greatly enjoyed feeding the birds and planting flowers. She spent much of her free time sewing and took part in many craft shows. Peggy will be remembered as loving wife and friend.
Peggy will be missed by her spouse, Edward Lee Townsend; her children, Carl (Phyllis) Townsend and Fred (Teresa) Townsend; grandchildren Amanda (Brian) Woollard, and Lindsey Myrand; great grandchildren Connor, Logan, Liam, Cameron, Alexander, and Kaylin; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Honor Nabeack; brother Fred Nabeack; and sister Rosemary Nagy.
