Copeland, Robert
Ackerson Lake, Michigan
Robert “Bob” David Copeland, 78, of Ackerson Lake, Michigan, passed away at home on February 27, 2026.
Bob was born on September 20, 1947, in Jackson, Michigan to Gerald and Jane (Middlebrook) Copeland. Bob married the love of his life, Sidney Melinda Davies, on June 14, 1969, at All Saints Episcopal church in Brooklyn, Michigan. Bob found much joy spending time tinkering in his pole barn, he could build just about anything, including a house, a tugboat and cars. He had many hobbies and collections, such as die cast cars and Budweiser paraphernalia and was also known for having the cleanest cars. He was an avid fan of Michigan State and NASCAR. Bob’s dogs kept him busy going for daily walks and keeping them groomed. Lake time was a favorite pass time too. But most all, Bob’s greatest joy was his family. He was his grandchildren’s biggest fan, sitting in the stands watching them play various sports and instruments in band. He will be remembered as a loving, caring and generous husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Bob will be deeply missed by his wife, Sidney; his children, Molly (Brian) Serafin, Robert (Aina) Copeland; brother, Thomas (Marion) Copeland of North Dakota; grandchildren, Kylie (Harry) Perry.
